If you have a 2nd gen, the front diff is held on at 3 points. The diff drop spacers go on the 2 rear points and pivot the diff housing down, thereby making the CV angle less severe. I installed mine and my CVs are much happier.

But if you're a lucky owner of a newer model, I'm really not familiar with how they work, but it can't be that much different.
