Also try subscribing to your posts.
I do not always choose "Instant email notification" for mine if I know they will produce a lot of replies, instead I will choose "no email notify" from the subscription list, then when browsing the forum from the
"New Posts" feature, I will scan the threads for the
icon which mean I am subbed to it, and I can see it in the new posts list which means I got a reply.
Also just click on your name on the forum index page near the bottom and it goes to your profile and you can choose "view all threads" or "view all posts" by you.
