I cary all that stuff all the time in my 87. It probb ruins my mpgs but I didn't get a 4runner for it's mpgs.

I also carry alot more like:
Rain coat
jumper cables
tire plugs
Rope
Chain
Tire chains (For the winter)
portable stove
Canned and dried food
Ammo lots of ammo
toom much stuff to list

I carry alot of stuff, I'm that guy on the trail/camping trip that has the things you forgot at home.
Always be prepared-I was a boyscout
