I've been using GMRS radios for a while and I never got a license...I honestly don't know how they would track it. If you want to be completely legit and you plan on using them a lot then you should probably go ahead and get the license...but I have yet to do so.
Just my $.02, those do look like an awesome set of radios Corey, they have them at my local Wal-Mart (I was shocked) and I have almost picked them up several times...but I just don't really have the need for them yet. I'm sure I'll end up getting them anyway though....
