Garmin Quest

Just picked up the new Garmin Quest and I'm loving ever second of it! It's small enough to be the same size as a handheld device.

You can check out the product here:
http://www.garmin.com/products/quest/

The cool feature that I really like is the screen changes the backlighting when it gets dark. This means during the daytime, you're able to see the screen w/ the light background and as it gets dark, it'll switch to the reverse where the roads are white and the background is dark. (done via daylight saving time set when you configure the gps) Nice constrast and easy on the eyes. You can also customize the right column where it shows some details: speed, time, distance, distance to next, time to next, etc etc...

It's adding an address is only a few clicks away. The process to add the address itself is a pain though as you gotta use the arrow key to input it one at a time but it works. Finding the shortest route is automatic and if you deviate from your current path, it'll auto reroute to find the next shortest route available. (this option can be changed). Heck there's even an "offroad" option (which I haven't used yet).

Do keep in mind that this GPS unit is purely for the Automobile so it's pretty useless as an outdoor GPS unit. The unit comes complete with a car charger/speaker combo that'll talk to you!! Also includes a home charger and the USB cable. Software has the full blown version of the City Select NA (unlocked).

Purchased on fleabay for just shy of $500... ahh toys....
