In the past, I ordered a hi amp alternator from Mr. Alternator. The alternator was 150 amps and the price was not that outrageous. I needed the alternator for my CB radio setup. The alternator held up very well! The only thing was that the plug for the alternator was badly worn and didn't charge up after awhile. Soooo, I took out the alternator and put in a stock alternator and when it did not charge up, I realized then that it was the wire/ plug and so the 150 went back in.

Mechanical Man is another place that I have heard of. Their alternators have a 'hot' rating as other companies rate their products 'cold'
