The rig keeps evolving as my ultimate goal with this is to set it up for expedition type wheeling.
I am not really into the rock crawling thing, I enjoy watching others trail reports with it, but I am more into the exploration type thing, and that is what I am aiming for.
The rig now sports twin 12v outlets in the back by the 110v outlet.
Toyota should produce them this way really.
One of the 12v outlets will be for powering my ARB fridge/freezer for keeping food cold or frozen while out camping or even during a day run.
The fridge has already proven itself on a Greenwater run we had in July.
It served up ice cream bars for all those who attended.
Went with some new 285x70x17' tires and new wheels.
Still keeping my other mud tires and stock alloys, but the new set will be for spring through fall, and the older set for the winter months.
The slightly bigger tire may have an advantage too over the other ones, but it sure makes the rig look all that much nicer by filling up the wheelwells more with more tread.
They are Dick Cepek Mountaincats which are made by Cooper, and very similar to the Cooper Discoverer STT tire.
The wheels are Pro Comp Xtreme 7089s which fit perfectly.
For more details on any of the above, please be sure to check out my buildup thread as I go into much more detail there.
Future mods:
A Safari snorkel which is distributed in the US by ARB will be in the works for a future mod too, and also Sonoran Steel's lower control arms which make the stock ones look pretty pathetic.
