It's not ALOT more work for a 7M, but if I were gonna do it over again now I'd probably do a supercharged 3.4, but not for the reasons people normally go over like bad headgaskets, its so much longer blah blah blah. The real shortcoming of the 7M is the oil pump I think. 7M's are only cool because you can have a turbo, and because the supra is such a famous sports car in Toyota history. If I have problems with my $2,000 rebuilt engine b/c of a $100 oil pump thats just not up to the task of low RPM cralwing in off-camber situations you can dang well bet it's getting a 3.4 quick like.
If I had a dime for every "which engine swap" thread I've seen I'd be a rich man.
