Actually it does matter. If you SAS the older tacos, you have to change the oil pan and the steering shaft and the point at which it goes through the firewall has to be modified quite a bit.
With the '05 and newer tacos you don't to change the oi pan and the steering shaft needs to be changed but the point at which it goes through the firewall does not need to be modified. Also the oilpan is noched on the drivers side in such a way that it seems Toyota knew we were going to do swaps on them. The frame is also notched on both sides that allow for a cleaner application with coilovers.
So yes it does matter what year your sasing when it comes to Tacos.
