I have a couple of Viper alarms on my vehicles. I have to change the battery in one of them every 6 months or so. (2way transmitter/receiver)

the Solaris i have changed the battery and did not have to reprogram the remote.

I would call Viper if you have to reprogram. they should have an answer for ya.
