good info! i'll add it to the top! oh, and supposedly, the 3.0L mazda is the same block as the 3.0L ford.

actually, i found the filter by removing about 10 or so from their boxes at wal-mart one evening about a year or so ago. i took the equivalent filter for the 5VZ-FE, then started searching for one in a similar diameter, but longer. then i honed in on the ones that had a similar thread/gasket diameter, then matched pitch. it came down to the one that fit the Ford 3.0 V6.
