if its in good condition... buy a used 3.0 from the junkyard... then sell it as a running 4Runner... you can at least get $4000 for one, 4000 it will sell QUICK. I paid $5500 for my 94 4Runner with leather seats (blue book is $6700).

22RE can go for about free-$1000
3.0 can go for about $500-$1200

To be honest I don't think there is a "big" market for used 4Runer parts. I say buy a decent used engine, drive it for a month or so to check out and see if the engine is up to par, then sell it for blue book.
