Corey (or anyone else with a FireStik II), I have the black 4 footer as well and picked up a general heavy duty spring. I put it on (bumper mounted) and played around with the antenna, but waaaay too much play. I wouldn't even think about driving around with it so I took it back.

What kind of action do you all get from your springs with these? Something that would allow little movement, yet enough give if you had branches or something overhead would be ideal. I like the lack of movement without a spring, but as brittle as these probably are, that isn't gonna fly on the trail. Perhaps the brand I picked up was worthless though too.
