From what I hear, the bumper isn't a very good place to mount the antennae. The roof is the best place with the hood second. At least that's the way I understood it. I was debating between the bumper and hood and decided on the hood. Somebody had a post about this not long ago and it was really helpful in me making my decision. I haven't got my antennae installed yet, but I will be getting a Firestick II. Suppose to be good.

I'll try to find that post about mounting.
