I have no experience with anything other than my own truck but I don't see why it wouldn't work?
As for me? I'd rather add a device. Kind of like Bob's or Corey's write-up in the tech section.
Corey's write up - the one that involves the multi DC to one (like a power strip) - I prefer most. No drilling, quick and easy to do. Best of all, easily undone.
