Also, we had a little trouble with the speedo at first, but it is fixed now.
even if it had electrical issues, that thing should theorhetically be a steal at $16k. something sounds fishy though... if this kid just dropped it off at a shop and paid someone, then he has much in the swap alone as a bare minimum, considering the cost of a diamond axle, gears, lockers, parts, then labor.

i guess when daddy gives you his 4runner, you can make a monster truck out of it and not care to loose your ass when selling it. what i don't get, if it were done right and streetable, is his reasoning for selling it.

I am really looking for a 99 or 00's diesel pickup(no regular cabs, please - I need to be able to transport about five people.) I am going through college right now and was trying to find some way to keep the truck, but I truely have neither the time nor the money for such a car. I figure I can continue 4wheeling when i graduate and have a little more time. I figure that this is the responsible thing to do and not to live "outside my means" by buying something else and having two cars (one of which I could never use.)...

I would also be willing to trade for a slightly build fj80 with front and rear lockers.
so, he wants a diesel truck (bad MPG and expensive fuel) or he wants a slightly built 80 (even worse MPG and expensive to fix). either way, it's just not adding up...
